In this project, the client wanted to incorporate all elements of wildlife and the products experienced on her trail rides in her logo. Set in indigenous forests and meadows along woodcutters pathways the brief was to incorporate as many elements of nature pertaining to the product without losing beauty and clarity. We illustrated and digitally manipulated indigenous fauna and flora, horses and the animals, seen on the rides to different establishments in the area. As the client has a strong environmental ethic a mandala/wheel of life emblem embodying man and nature’s inter- connectedness embraced all these elements into a balanced and harmonious symbol. We used circular elements of plaited leather inspired by the horses tack to further augment her horse based business. Simple enough to burn into wood, etch and stamp, this logo fitted a number of needs from print and digital media to value added products.
