The brief was from two hip and happening London creative coordinators’ who wanted a CI for a Martini bar where the art of a martini was embraced. The bar was a place people could get together and discuss business or their day over a martini so all the extra add on’s had to be considered. Ie cocktail serviettes, cocktail recipe/note book, cards, coasters, web as well as the CI.

The clients have Indian/African roots and loved elephants so we incorporated a water colour elephant with a simple MM monogram in gold for the glamour both they and their product exude. The juniper flowers are gin related and the hot air balloon gives a sense of fun and the absurd which they both embrace. The simple MM translated well onto branded items such as coasters, napkins and clothing and the illustrated elements were added in full colour print. Next was a moleskin cocktail book where 15 different multi media illustrations exemplified the original martini recipes with a steampunk edge.
